Location & Legacy Established in 1992, St. Augustine Marine Center has grown into Northeast Florida's go-to full-service marine facility, built on decades of boat building experience for the commercial fishing industry before expanding into private vessel service. Situated on a 23-acre site near the heart of downtown St. Augustine, the yard combines a rich shipbuilding heritage with modern equipment and expertise, offering boat owners a single destination for repair, maintenance, and storage.
Full-Service Boat Repair St. Augustine Marine Center's team of industry-leading professionals handles everything from routine maintenance to complex custom work. Services include bottom and topside painting with Awlgrip, Axalta, and PPG paint systems, marine carpentry and joinery, marine electrical diagnostics and repair, fiberglass and composite work, mechanical and generator repair, marine rigging, HVAC services, and propeller reconditioning for propellers up to 42 inches. Backed by a 100-ton Travel Lift and 30-ton Catamaran Crawler, the yard is equipped to haul, launch, and service vessels of nearly any size, whether a 14-foot skiff or a 100-foot yacht. For vessels still in the water and awaiting a haul-out slot, DS Diving provides underwater hull cleaning and inspections, giving boat owners a way to keep hulls and running gear maintained without adding to the yard's schedule.
Refits & Restoration Beyond routine repair, St. Augustine Marine Center specializes in refits and restorations that give older vessels new life, handling everything from cosmetic updates to complete overhauls. Combined with custom fiberglass lamination, teak refurbishment, and custom paint and graphics work, the yard offers boat owners a path to a fully renewed vessel without leaving Northeast Florida.
Storage for Mono-Hulls & Multi-Hulls St. Augustine Marine Center provides secure land storage solutions for both mono-hull and multi-hull vessels. Mono-hull storage accommodates vessels up to 100 tons with customized short- and long-term plans, while multi-hull storage uses the yard's dedicated Catamaran Crawler to safely handle catamarans and trimarans up to 30 tons. Between storage cycles, DS Diving's zinc replacement and monitoring services help protect vessels from corrosion once they're back in the water, while the company's piling restoration and inspection services support the docks and lift infrastructure that keep the yard running.
Hurricane Preparedness For boat owners in Northeast Florida, St. Augustine Marine Center's Hurricane Club offers peace of mind ahead of storm season, with haul-out reservations available for vessels in the event of a named storm. Participating vessels are required to carry current liability insurance naming the marina as an additional insured. Should a storm leave a vessel damaged, sinking, or taking on water, DS Diving's salvage services — including afloat salvage, harbor salvage, and wreck removal — are available to boat owners throughout the region.
