About This Service Area

Marina

Description

Location & Overview Nestled in the heart of downtown historic St. Augustine, St. Augustine Municipal Marina is a natural stop for boaters traveling the surrounding waterways of Northeast Florida, whether transiting the open Atlantic or navigating the more sheltered channels of the Intracoastal Waterway. Friendly, helpful staff are on duty daily from early morning into the evening, with 24-hour staff and on-site security overnight, and a fuel dock offering gas, oil, and ice keeps boaters provisioned for the next leg of their trip.

Dockage & Mooring St. Augustine Municipal Marina offers dockage for vessels up to 200 feet and mooring balls for vessels up to 120 feet, all within a Florida Clean Marina-designated facility. A breakwater dock on the north side of the marina basin provides a more sheltered harbor from north and northeast winds, with slips built to accommodate catamarans and other beamier, multi-hull vessels, along with a large face dock capable of berthing yachts over 200 feet and 3-phase electric service. For boats spending extended time on a mooring or in a slip, DS Diving's underwater hull cleaning keeps hulls and running gear free of marine growth throughout the stay.

Facilities & Guest Amenities Registered guests have access to clean, secure restroom and shower facilities, a laundry room, and a boaters lounge, along with free Wi-Fi throughout the marina property. Pump-out service is available directly from paid moorings, in all transient slips, and free to the public at the fuel dock, while an outdoor event venue is available for rent for groups looking to host a gathering dockside.

Local Area & Attractions Located in the center of "The Nation's Oldest City," St. Augustine Municipal Marina puts boaters within a short walk of antique stores, art galleries, four-star restaurants, gift shops, and some of the most historic sights in Florida. The iconic Bridge of Lions sits just beside the marina, opening for vessel traffic on request via VHF radio, making the marina an easy, walkable base for exploring downtown St. Augustine on foot.

Boater Services & Support St. Augustine Municipal Marina also supports boaters with a mooring field launch service running daily between the marina and the San Marcos and Menendez mooring fields, coordinated by VHF radio, along with free vessel safety checks offered through the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. For boaters who lose something overboard in the mooring field or anchorage, DS Diving's search and recovery divers handle everything from small item recovery to lost vessel and cargo recovery (calculating search zones rather than guessing), while filming each search with mounted cameras.
